On September 15th and 16th, the Opera House's resident drama workshop returns after a two-year hiatus with a production of A. R. Gurney's The Cocktail Hour. This year's event takes place on September 25th and will bring some of the best artisans and crafters from Pocahontas County and across the state to one place. • Full Harvest Moon Hike at Cass Scenic Railroad - 12363 Cass Rd, Cass, WV 24927
  From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on September 30th, enjoy a charming evening stroll along the former Cass Scenic Railroad with the Full Harvest Moon Hike. The hike begins at the visitor's center at the Cass Company Store within Cass Scenic Railroad State Park and follows the railroad bed for a 3-mile round-trip hike over fairly even ground. Expect lovely scenery and a beautiful hike beneath the full harvest moon!
  
  
• Greenbrier River Trail Marathon & Half Marathon - 12363 Cass Rd, Cass, WV 24927
  The annual Greenbrier River Trail Marathon & Half Marathon is back this year and offers one of the best and most beautiful races in West Virginia. The marathon portion is the only full 26.2-mile point-to-point marathon in the state. This year's marathon takes place on Sunday, October 8th, and starts at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. From there, it takes a scenic route along the Greenbrier River Trail, a rail trail that follows its namesake river through the heart of Pocahontas County.
